To empower students, teachers and all school community to reach their full learning and creative potential.

One of the main goals of the library staff is to help students develop information literacy skills. To assist in this process, the library has a wide range of resources, books from ES to MS/HS and 10 desktop computers that provide access to the Internet, library catalogue, research databases, and many other tools.

FAQ

How can I check out a book? How many?

MS/HS students shall check-out up to 3 books for 2 weeks. They have permision for 1 renewal of this time. When overdue, students may loose their multiple check-out or renewal privileges. When needed, students shall seek permision for more check-outs or for more time. When in doubt, ask the librarian.

How can I check-out a magazine?

The same process as checking out a book. Each magazine shall count as a book, so no more than 3 shall be checked out at a time.

How about movies? Can I check out one?

If you are a MS/HS student or teacher, SURE! Check them out. Students shall check-out only one at a time.

Why is the library closed on Wednesday?

Because the library staff uses this time to prepare, plan and develop a better library for you!

I don't get it. Why can't I eat in the library?

Because when you eat, small particules of food fall in the carpet. These particles are vary tasty for all kinds of bugs, and bugs also eat books and cables. We love bugs and food, but we love our books and resources more, and so should you.

Why can't I seat where I want? I want to use the puffs, seat in the Elementary Section, and move the furniture just a little bit!

Well, this is problematic. Puffs are not meant for MS/HS size bodies, so they could be frail for you. If you are a ES student, then OK! Also, Elementary Section should be a sacred ground for our ES students. This is their space in the library, and it should remain this way.

Also, the furniture is placed in a way that serves the library purpose perfectly. If you need to move it, is not impossible, but a Librarian should be notified. And after everything is done, move the furniture back, please.

I need a quiet space

Usually the library is a quiet space, but sometimes is not because is fulfilling one of its purposes: supporting learning in a class. If you need a quiet space urgently and the library normal spaces are not quiet enough, you can ask the librarian to lend you teh quiet back room, but you can only enter with responsible teacher.
